Nikhil threatens to boycott promotions of ‘SPY’ ?

Sunday, May 5, 2024

Actor Nikhil Siddhartha is at loggerheads with the producers of his upcoming pan-India film SPY. The makers initially announced June 29th as the release date. They unveiled a gripping teaser a few days back and received a thumping response from all quarters. However, Nikhil asked the producers to postpone the film as he needs ample time to promote it in North India because his previous outing Karthikeya-2 performed exceedingly well there. But, they didn’t agree to his request. So,he skipped the dubbing formalities and caused more delay. Against this backdrop, trade circles felt that the film will be postponed.

Surprisingly, the makers of SPY have reiterated the release date of the film. They unveiled a striking poster this Saturday evening to reaffirm that the film will hit the screens on June 29th. As per our exclusive reports, they made this announcement without the consent of Nikhil. The source further added that Nikhil threatened the producers that he will boycott the promotions if they don’t postpone the film. Though the poster was officially released, Nikhil didn’t even tweet it from his official handle. He is showing no interest in this film, but working on his upcoming projects.

It remains to be seen if Nikhil settles the issues with his producers and comes forward to promote this film or not. SPY is touted to be an espionage thriller that unearths the mystery behind the death of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. It is directed by Garry BH. K. Rajasekhar Reddy and CEO Uppalapati Charan Tej produced it on ED Entertainment banner.
