TDP politburo member Bonda Uma criticized the state chief electoral officer’s office, alleging a lack of responsiveness compared to the Central Election Commission’s prompt actions against YSRCP’s transgressions. Uma questioned CEO Mukesh Kumar Meena’s passive stance. Speaking in Vijayawada, he sought clarification on why the state’s electoral officer lacked the proactive approach of the Central Commission.

Bonda Uma accused Vijayawada North ACP Prasad and Unnna CI Durga Prasad of being aligned with YSRCP’s interests, particularly since the appointment of vellampalli Srinivas. He highlighted an incident where the husband of YSRCP corporator Ganesh assaulted an ST surveyor for not adhering to his instructions regarding postal ballot voting.

Bonda Uma criticized the nominal charges filed against YSRCP leaders and the counter cases lodged against the victims. He called attention to CEO Mukesh Kumar’s previous complaint against certain officials, suggesting a pattern of inaction. He demanded accountability and transparency, asserting that leniency towards the ruling party should not go unnoticed.
