Janasena and BJP have been in alliance since the 2014 elections and they are also speculated to work together for the 2024 polls. But a look at the recent developments between these two parties is looking otherwise as Janasena is not at all happy with the way BJP is treating its alliance partner in Andhra Pradesh.
Even though Janasena leaders from its Chief Pawan Kalyan to the last member of its cadre and AP BJP leaders say that all is well between the two parties, things have been deteriorating further as time passes. The doubts about their alliance started when Pawan Kalyan openly asked for BJP’s roadmap and the saffron party didn’t have a proper response. The doubts intensified when BJP and its central leaders remained silent when Pawan Kalyan was harassed by the YSRCP government in Novotel, Vizag the other day. Even the TDP National President Chandrababu Naidu came and met to support Pawan personally but BJP failed to do so, at least in the way all expected. Coming to recent Modi’s AP visit to Vizag, BJP showed great interest in the ruling party rather than its partner Janasena but somehow Modi gave an appointment to Pawan Kalyan. They both met and discussed openly but the dissatisfaction on Janasenani’s face in the media interaction explains everything. Only the Janasena party has been releasing the photos of the meet and Pawan Kalyan has made tweets praising Modi to the sky but the saffron party didn’t show any response, at least from the PMO’s office. This kind of treatment is hurting Janasainikas and other leaders of the party.
Political experts opine that if this trend continues, Janasena will cut all its ties with BJP and join hands with its ex-partner TDP for the upcoming elections of 2024. It’s high time for BJP to show some positive response and affection to Janasena if they really want to continue its alliance in Andhra Pradesh.
