Chief Minister A Revanth ReddyCM Revanth Reddy advised the collectors that decisions should be made from a humanitarian perspective to benefit the people. He said that they should know what the people’s thoughts are at the field level.
He asked District Collectors to step out of their offices and ascertain the people’s aspirations and work accordingly. “By remaining confined to AC chambers, you will not get any work satisfaction,” he added.
The Chief Minister was conducting a meeting with all Collectors, Police Commissioners, SPs and other senior officials on Praja Palana, Dharani issues, Kharif season farming, public health – seasonal diseases, education, law and order and other issues. A similar meeting was conducted on December 24 last year.
He pointed out that district administrators are the eyes and ears of the government and they can provide proper services to the people only if all those who come from different regions participate in the culture of Telangana.
“Transparent public welfare governance should be provided in this people’s government. It is your responsibility to balance welfare and development. Collectors should visit the field” he added.
Revanth Reddy said that it is the responsibility of the Collectors to ensure implementation of Government’s six guarantees transparently to the satisfaction of the people.
Stating that the education system is very important in the reconstruction of Telangana, he said that the government was spending about Rs 85,000 a month on each student. Chief Minister stressed that the education sector plays a key role in the redevelopment of Telangana.
“All measures should be taken to ensure the education sector is not defamed,” Revanth Reddy said, adding that it was the responsibility of Collectors to inspect the government schools and hospitals regularly and monitor their performance.
He said Prajavani issues should be addressed regularly and the onus of implementing the six guarantees effectively and transparently lies on the Collectors. Chief Minister recalled that after the end of election code collectors transfer was conducted in a transparent way.
