In Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam Party is the strong ally of the ruling alliance. Chandrababu Naidu is the Chief Minister and the leader of Telugu Desam Party while the Deputy Chief Minister is the chief of Jana Sena Party. Bharatiya Janata Party is also a constituent member of this alliance which presents the NDA government at the state level. This tie-up has galvanized the leadership as well as the grassroots cadres of TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP, infusing into them life and liveliness.
The YSRCP had during its rule an all-inclusive membership drive since Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy came to office. However, it is so popular under the present political scenario because people were unwilling to become members of opposition parties TDP and Jana Sena during the time of the YSRCP government since they were cowed down or frightened. But TDP is now preparing for a strong return and planning its membership drive of unparalleled dimension. Chandrababu Naidu and his son, Minister Nara Lokesh, have requested the leaders of TDP to work towards ensuring that this campaign breaks all records.
Nara Lokesh recently posted on X, which was earlier Twitter, and that post is all trending. The support given towards the TDP is getting tremendous attention. He said that the party was beginning the membership drive and asking everyone to deposit Rs 100 and join the party officially. Lokesh also added that each member of this new TDP will be insured for accidents worth Rs 5 lakh and that the party was investing in its member’s welfare.
In his post, Lokesh reminded the workers that TDP has had welfare schemes for its cadre members in the past, informing that if a TDP activist dies in an accident, it would take care of their family’s medical, education, and employment requirements. He also gave different platforms to register, asking people to do so through the website, mobile application, and even WhatsApp. Lokesh, however, reassured TDP members that the party is firmly with them. Meanwhile, while TDP leaders are found actively competing to help facilitate membership registration drives across all regions in every district of Andhra Pradesh, they are reflecting their confidence to increase the party’s base.
