Hyderabad: In response to recent construction issues in the Medigadda project, Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy held a meeting on Monday with officials from the Irrigation Department and L&T, the contracting agency. The government is determined to investigate and hold accountable those responsible for the substandard construction. Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy made it clear that the government will not accept the shifting of repair costs to public funds.
He emphasized the urgency of addressing the construction issues promptly and demanded a transparent and comprehensive report from officials involved in the Medigadda project. The minister also announced plans to summon contracting agencies associated with the Annaram and Sundilla projects to explain similar issues in those projects. Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy stressed the government’s commitment to transparency, public trust, and collaboration to rectify the issues and prevent future problems.
