Hyderabad: In a political gathering at Thukkuguda, Congress ministers criticized the ruling BRS (Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi) party, cautioning leaders KCR and KTR about their language and advocating for Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister. They accused the BRS of rampant corruption during its decade-long rule, singling out instances involving KCR’s daughter Kavitha. Ministers called for support to elevate Rahul Gandhi, portraying him as a symbol of hope for the underprivileged. They urged Congress workers to secure 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana as a tribute to Gandhi.
Minister Seethakka emphasized the collective responsibility to achieve this goal and criticized the BJP for fostering divisiveness. Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah stressed the importance of winning at least 15 of Telangana’s 17 Lok Sabha seats to overthrow the BJP government. Minister Jupally Krishna Rao condemned KCR’s governance, citing corruption allegations and questioning the integrity of the government’s actions.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy issued a stern warning to KCR, cautioning against underestimating him and threatening severe consequences, including potential incarceration. Revanth Reddy challenged KCR to seek votes in areas where the BRS had constructed houses, while Congress would campaign in regions with Indiramma houses. He accused KCR of oppressing the populace and criticized his language. Rahul Gandhi’s arrival at the rally further energized the event, with leaders rallying support behind him for the upcoming elections.
