Just as the Congress party came to power in Telangana, AICC President and MP Mallikarjun Kharge expressed confidence that the Congress government will prevail at the Centre as well. Addressing party leaders and activists as part of the Congress party’s `Samajika Nyayam Samarabheri’ convention at the LB Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday, he lamented that everything Prime Minister Modi tells the people of the country is a lie.
He accused Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of boasting that they have done a lot for the country. But he directly questioned what they have done for this country and Telangana state? He said that this region developed during the reign of Nehru and Indira Gandhi. He reminded that Prime Minister Modi has visited 42 countries so far.
But, Kharge was angry that when people are dying in Manipur for the last two years, Modi has not visited so far. He said that the Modi government had announced that it would do something about Pakistan. But he questioned the Modi government for not doing anything. He expressed doubts about who stopped you from going to war with Pakistan?
He said that Indira Gandhi was not afraid as Prime Minister like Prime Minister Modi. He said that Indira Gandhi had declared that she would give freedom to Bangladesh no matter who came and she did the same thing. He said that it was the job of the BJP and RSS to apologize. He criticized that the BJP is trying to remove the word secular from the Constitution.
He said that the BJP says that the word secular is not in the Constitution itself. On this occasion, Kharge announced that he was challenging the removal of the word secular from the Constitution. He explained that the word secular was written in the BJP’s plan. If you have a problem with the word secular, Kharge openly challenged the top BJP leaders to remove it from your party’s plan.
He said that the Congress party has won in Telangana due to hard work by party workers in the state. He explained that Revanth, Bhatti and the ministers worked for the victory of the Congress party. He alleged that KCR and BJP are working together to stop the Congress party in Telangana. But he reminded that the people of Telangana defeated both these parties.
Kharge explained that he had said in the past that the Congress party would win in Telangana. He reminded that more than 50 central institutions came to Telangana during the Congress rule.
