The meeting between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Tollywood actor Jr. NTR on August 21 at Novatel Hotel, Shamsabad, Hyderabad, has become a hot political issue in the two Telugu States. People are uncertain as to whether the meeting was intended solely for films or if it had a political aspect. According to sources, Amit Shah lauded the film RRR and actor Jr. NTR and desired to see more movies like this in the years to come. Jr. NTR has been referred to as ‘the gem of Telugu cinema’ and a ‘highly good performer’ by Amit Shah during a brief interaction with the actor. He also wrote- ‘Had a good interaction with a highly talented actor and the gem of our Telugu film.’ Now reacting to this, Jr. NTR wrote- ‘It was a pleasure meeting you and having a delightful interaction @AmitShah ji. Thanks for the kind words.’
