Janasena wants four but TDP gives two in the East?

Monday, May 20, 2024

The two opposition parties Janasena and TDP are rumored to be making an alliance for the upcoming elections of 2024. Sources close to these two parties reveal an interesting update on seat sharing between these two regarding the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.

After Pawan Kalyan met CBN at his residence in Hyderabad and expressed his support regarding the undemocratic behavior of AP Govt towards the opposition leaders, alliance speculations are in full swing. According to recent reports, Janasena is seeking the four constituencies of Rajanagaram, Amalapuram, Razole, and Kakinada Rural as a part of its alliance sharing but the TDP is keen on giving two among the four.

It is heavily rumored that Janasenani Pawan Kalyan himself is keen on competing with the sitting YSRCP MLA Kanna Babu in Kakinada Rural and this made TDP not hold any kind of discussions. Also coming to the constitution of Rajanagaram, TDP lost its seat to YSRCP’s Jakkampudi Rada as the TDP leader Pendurthi Venkatesh lost in 2019 and lost his charm already. So the TDP is ready to give these two constituencies of Kakinada rural and Rajanagaram as it feels Amalapuram and Razole can be dealt with by their own leaders.

Meanwhile, Janasena claims that they already won Razole in the 2019 elections and they are super confident in winning it again. Also, the leaders of Janasena state that the BC, SC, and ST voters of Amalapuram are vexed with the ruling party regarding the way it created havoc in the past by brewing unnecessary political rift between castes so they are in solid support of Pawan Kalyan and Janasena. One has to see if all these seat-sharing deals go smoothly or cause a rupture for the alliance in order to dethrone Jagan in 2024.
