Former chief minister and YCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who is said to be unable to digest his humiliating defeat in the recent polls is said to be considering to merge his party with Congress. Presently camping at Bengaluru, he is discussing this issue with his close associates in the party and also held a meeting with Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar also.
In this regard, Anaparthi BJP MLA Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy making sensational comments said that Jagan is ready to merge his party with Congress, but on one condition. He is insisting that his sister and presently APCC chief YS Sharmila should be expelled from the party.
According to him, Jaganmohan Reddy has gone into a state of extreme helplessness after the unexpected defeat in the elections, and that is why he is looking towards the Congress. Moreover, he said that Jagan is feeling insecure within his party as he is not sure whether all of his 11 MLAs, 4 MPs and 11 Rajya Sabha members will remain within for a long time.
He recalled that during YS Jagan’s first visit to his native place Pulivendula after poll results, his own party workers attacked his house and questioned him, whereas earlier no one in the party dared to raise their voice against him.
No party MLA and known leaders from Kadapa district met him in Pulivendula also. “Unannounced emergencies will continue in the state from 2019 to 2024. People opposed his repressive regime and gave an unprecedented victory to the alliance. This shows that the people will never accept the rule of a dictator”, he added.
Meanwhile, Jaganmohan Reddy has also summoned his party key leaders, including 10 ministers in his cabinet to Bengaluru, where he is said to be continuing hectic consultations on future political journey.
