The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the spectacular movie RRR fetched both ‘Oscars’ and ‘Golden Globes’ alongside Global recognition from the Telugu and Indian Cinemas. Apart from all this, fans of both Charan and NTR Jr were disappointed a little as these two incredible stars didn’t perform the song ‘Natu Natu’ live on stage. The show producer of the Oscars however revealed the real reason behind it.
Ever since the song ‘Naatu Naatu’ was shortlisted in the final four nominations for the ‘Best Original Song’ category, it was widely speculated that the RRR duo would perform the song on stage. Those from the two Telugu states who watched the song live during the event were sad to miss their favorite heroes on stage. The Oscars show producer Raj Kapoor in his recent interview with the Academy stated that they indeed planned to have the heroes performed. Later they went back on this decision as the two heroes got busy promoting the movie and the song throughout the USA in different places and also the two heroes expressed their distress in performing live.
Fortunately, the song performed by the local American troup did win the hearts of many and the song got a standing ovation at the Oscars which gave instant goosebumps to all the Telugu people who are living across the Globe. Presenter Raj Kapoor hailed this troup by declaring that they just practiced this song for 18 hours and delivered it like anything.
