Exclusive: Here is why Naga Chaitanya openly slammed Parasuram

Usually reticent and non-controversial, Akkineni Naga Chaitanya shocked everyone when he openly slammed Tollywood director Parasuram during his recent media interaction. Chaitu said Parasuram wasted a lot of his time and added that it is a waste of time to discuss the issue now. This is the first time Chaitu made glaring remarks about anyone in the industry and his statement came as a big surprise to everyone.

Well, the reason behind Chaitu’s strong reaction to Parasuram is a long unknown story. It is a known fact that Parasuram was supposed to team up with Naga Chaitanya for an entertainer. However, the project didn’t take off as Parasuram bagged an opportunity to team up with Mahesh Babu for Sarkaruvaari Paata. It was Chaitu who encouraged Parasuram to go ahead with Mahesh Babu’s film. Chaitu agreed because it was indeed a golden opportunity for Parasuram to helm a top-league actor. Parasuram also promised to work with Chaitu after wrapping up Sarkaruvaari Paata.

After the release of Sarkaruvaari Paata, Parasuram didn’t show much interest to work with Chaitu. He intentionally ignored Chaitu. As there is a lot of pressure from the production house, Parasuram finally came up with another new script for Chaitu. This script didn’t impress Chaitu. He asked the director to make the necessary changes to the script.

Despite repeated sittings, Parasuram couldn’t convince Chaitu. So, the project was finally shelved. Reportedly, Chaitu felt that Parasuram intentionally wasted his time without working on the script with conviction. This is why Chaitu was irked when he was asked about Parasuram. So, he openly criticised the director during the promotions of his upcoming film Custody which is slated for release on May 12th.
