The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has again summoned the officials for the investigation in the Formula E car race case. It called BLN Reddy and Arvind Kumar to appear on the 8th and 9th of this month. Both the officials avoided earlier summons to attend on 2nd and 3rd, stating they need two to three weeks more time.

Meanwhile, HMDA former chief engineer BLN Reddy did not appear for the ED investigation in the Formula E car race case on Thursday. He requested the ED officials through an email that he needed some time. They responded positively and said that they would call him again.

Senior IAS officer Arvind Kumar, who was supposed to appear for the investigation on Friday, also said that he could not come and asked for another date. With this, officials said that he will also be called for questioning on another day. The High Court’s verdict on the quash petition filed by KTR in the ACB case in the Formula-E car race case is reserved.

It seems that BLN Reddy and Arvind Kumar intend to take a decision on whether to attend the hearing after the verdict. The ED has already issued summons to KTR to appear on the 7th of this month.

On one hand, the ACB is investigating this case, while on the other hand, the ED is preparing for the hearing. As part of this, BLN Reddy, who worked as the Chief Engineer of HMDA during the BRS regime, has been called for questioning. However, BLN Reddy evaded the ED’s inquiry.

Meanwhile, after thoroughly examining the files of the respective departments in this matter, the ACB registered an FIR against three people who came to know about irregularities in the cash transfer. It included the names of KTR as A1, IAS officer Arvind Kumar as A2, and BLN Reddy as A3.

In the wake of the ACB registering the FIR, former minister KTR immediately approached the High Court. A lunch motion petition was filed to quash the ACB case. With this, former minister KTR got a small relief in the Telangana High Court regarding this case. It issued orders to the Telangana government not to make any arrests until the verdict is delivered.

Earlier, the ACB officials questioned the complainant Dana Kishore and recorded his statement. Dana Kishore gave a statement before the ACB that approximately Rs. 55 crore cash was transferred to the SEO through the HMDA under their jurisdiction.
