AP ranks 14th in the Foreign Investments: Disaster

Thursday, November 14, 2024

In what may be called one of the most embarrassing things for the ruling party of Andhra Pradesh YSRCP, the state has fallen to 14th rank in getting Foreign Direct Investments and stood almost last in the most progressing states of India from the time period of 2019-2022.

Foreign Direct Investments means getting direct monetary investments from many foreign countries to establish their institutions or factories by giving them land, manpower, and resources. Andhra Pradesh post bifurcation stood at 5th place during the tenure of TDPs ruling and Chandrababu Naidu’s government grabbed a total fund of 58,000 crores. The given time period was precisely when Jagan came into the ruling and the YSRCP government managed to get only 4056.89 crores in three years of time, which contributed nothing more than 0.34% of the entire nation’s FDI thereby ending up in 14th rank.

On contrary, the neighborhood state Telangana got an FDI of 29,000 crores and grabbed 6th rank in this list proving it’s far better than Andhra Pradesh. Already the anti-incumbency is at its highest in AP against the YSRCP government. The given results from many surveys are only doing more damage to the reputation of the government and Jagan’s cabinet. It’s high time for Jagan and Co to stop their vendetta politics on the opposition and concentrate on actually developing the state and attracting investments.
