AP HC issues notice to State Government on Amravati farmers

The High Court of Andhra Pradesh has issued notices against the will of the YSRCP-led State Government regarding the plea of Amravati farmers regarding the payment of their annuity. The HC directed the State Government to pay their annuities which are pending.

It is a known fact that the then TDP Government pooled thousands of acres of land in the region of Amravati to construct a world-class capital but the plans ended in vain after Jagan assumed power. Not only not construct the capital in Amravati, but also Jagan changed his plans for the capital many times stating that not one but three capitals but in reality, none of the capitals were built or even saw any development. At this juncture, the Amravati farmers who lost both their lands and income approached the High Court and sought justice for which the Chief Justice asked the Government of AP to pay their annuity of 30,000 per acre for dry lands and 50,000 rupees for wetlands. It has to be seen how the Jagan Sarkar takes these notices and files a counter as it is in no mood to pay anything to the farmers.

Already the Central Government advised the State Government and Chief Justice of the AP High Court to sit and solve this issue amicably but Jagan showcased zero interest. In fact, the CM has officially waged war on the Amaravati farmers coloring them of caste and support of TDP.
