Daggubati Purandeswari, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president, formally submitted her nomination for the Rajahmundry Lok Sabha constituency on Friday. Reflecting on the potential of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Andhra Pradesh, Purandeswari expressed confidence that the electorate is eager for a change in governance.

“In the upcoming elections, I am optimistic about the outcome. The people of Andhra Pradesh are longing for change. Over the past five years, the governance they have witnessed has left various segments of society dissatisfied. As a result, they are anticipating the opportunity to vote for change,” Purandeswari said media on Friday. “Therefore, following the declaration of results on June 4, I am confident that a capable government will assume office, and it will be the NDA alliance recently forged between the Bharatiya Janata Party, TDP, and Jana Sena,” she elaborated.

Regarding the manifesto for the Andhra Pradesh assembly polls, Purandeswari, daughter of former Andhra Chief Minister NTR, disclosed that a committee has been established to deliberate on it. “Our manifesto will align with the national manifesto, which will be unveiled shortly. A committee has already been convened to deliberate on the pertinent issues to be addressed through the manifesto.
