BJP MP Purandeswari challenges Elon Musk

Elon Musk, the billionaire businessman and Tesla CEO, stirred controversy with his recent remarks on electronic voting machines (EVMs) used in the US presidential election. Musk took to social media to suggest that removing EVMs could prevent hacking during elections, specifically citing concerns over potential vulnerabilities to individuals or artificial intelligence. His comments were prompted by allegations of irregularities in the primary elections in Puerto Rico.

Musk’s statements sparked a heated debate, drawing reactions from leaders of India’s BJP and Congress parties. The discourse quickly escalated, becoming a focal point in what is now being referred to as the “EVM war.”

In response to Musk’s assertions, BJP MP Daggubati Purandeswari challenged him to substantiate his claims about EVM vulnerability. Purandeswari proposed that the Election Commission of India invite Musk to demonstrate and prove his concerns firsthand, suggesting this as a way to address the ongoing debate surrounding EVM security.
