Vijayawada: TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu and his party members have been vocal about criticizing the Jagan government’s decision to mortgage the AP Secretariat. In response, former minister and Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani rebuked Chandrababu’s stance, stating that mortgaging government assets to banks is a common practice when needed. He pointed out that the Secretariat is just a 10-acre property and questioned whether the Constitution specifies which assets can be mortgaged.
Nani labeled Chandrababu as a trivial leader, criticizing his actions as futile. He highlighted the state’s substantial debt, reaching Rs. 4 lakh crores, with Chandrababu accountable for Rs. 2.50 lakh crore of it.
