The lead team of Shaakuntalam visited the Peddamma Temple on Wednesday (March 15) ahead of the release of their much anticipated mythological film.
The team including Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Dev Mohan, Gunasekhar, Neelima Guna and Hanshita Reddy visited the temple to seek blessings from the mighty goddesses. In the pictures, Samantha looked stunningly beautiful in her simple yet elegant cotton kurta set. The Yashoda actress posed with the team and happily clicked for the cameras.
Shaakuntalam which is based on the popular 4th-century play Abhignyana Shakuntalam by Kalidasa is directed by the Tollywood ace filmmaker Gunasekhar and produced by Neelima Guna under the banner Gunaa Teamworks in association with Sri Venkateswara Creations.
Starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the titular role, Shaakuntalam features Mohan Babu, Dev Mohan, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, Madhoo, Gautami and others in key roles.
Touted to be a historical drama film, Shaakuntalam is scheduled to hit the theaters on April 14 of this year.
