Jagan Govt got shocked by Supreme Court on GO-1

Wednesday, November 13, 2024

The ruling party of Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP by now got used to getting cursed by Indian Courts from the district level to the National level. The Supreme Court of India declared that it is not going to favor the AP State Government regarding its current favorite GO-1.

Jagan Sarkar introduced the GO-1 only to limit the opposition leaders from conducting roadshows and rallies. They intentionally brought this age-old rule that got rejected by Indians keeping Pawan Kalyan’s Varahi Bus tour and Nara Lokesh’s Yuva Galam Padayatra. Thanks to the MP RRR who approached the High Court of AP, the justice issued a stay on this GO terming it as undemocratic as it stops the fundamental rights of citizens.

AP CM however made his official government advocate to challenge the High Court’s stay in the Supreme Court of India. Justice Chandrachud led the bench today to hear the proceedings and declared that it would not interfere at this stage of the state on the GO-1 and suggested that the Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra of AP High Court have an inquiry on the 23rd of this month regarding the GO-1. The Apex Court opined that this issue comes in the jurisdiction of the State’s High Court and asked the AP government’s advocate to look into it if needed.

Meanwhile, the Narasapuram MP RRR is alleging that the AP CM Jagan is keen on making this GO implemented at any cost and he is even ready to change the Justice of the High Court to have a favorable verdict only to stop oppositions from reaching out to the public. Political analysts clearly point out the ruling party’s desperation to implement GO-1 even though the Chief Justice denied lifting the stay and they think it is further damaging Jagan’s reputation.
