The labor Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Gummanaur Jayaram has been served notices by the Income Tax Department of India for allegedly buying 180 acres on a single day without any proper account. More details of this stunning issue are as follows:
Minister Jayaram’s wife Renukamma bought 30 acres of land and this came into evidence when a Bengaluru-based company bought as many as 530 acres in the area of Kurnool that land was in dispute and the company approached local police and the entire land buying came into existence. After a little interrogation, it was revealed that the minister’s wife bought 30 acres of that disputed land, and immediately the Income Tax Department started the probe. They found that the wife of Jayaram got no earnings whatsoever and still she bought half a crore worth of land. IT sent notices to Renukamma asking her to answer them regarding the purchase and from where she got the money within 90 days on the 30th of October this year. A deep probe also revealed that the minister Jayaram also bought 180 acres in the same place in one day in the names of his close family members with his own money. Now the IT department also issued notices to the minister under the Benami property act.
The entire issue came as a shocker to the voters of Andhra Pradesh and they are in awe about the corruption of YSRCP leaders and their misuse of power. One has to wait and see how the minister responds to the allegations and notices sent by IT.
