Due to the ongoing heavy rains in the Telugu states, the Telangana administration, led by Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao (KCR), on Wednesday extended holidays for all educational institutions in the state until July 16. The administration had previously declared three days off from school owing to the state’s expected severe rainfall, and classes were set to resume on Thursday. The officials agreed to extend the holidays by three more days, as the rains continued in several areas of the state.
