On Monday, a special court at Rows Avenue granted the CBI custody of BRS MLC Kavitha regarding the Delhi liquor case, allowing for a three-day period instead of the requested five. Kavitha will be under CBI custody from tomorrow until the 15th of this month for interrogation.
Key points highlighted in the custody petition include the CBI’s request for five days of custody for Kavitha in connection to the liquor case. The petition asserts Kavitha’s significance in the case, alleging a payment of Rs 100 crore to the Aam Aadmi Party and bribery accusations involving Sharath Chandra Reddy giving Rs 80 lakh to Jagriti. Additionally, it claims Kavitha’s involvement in threatening Sarath Chandra Reddy for financial gain. The CBI submitted an 11-page custody petition outlining these points.
