Amaravati: YV Subba Reddy, the North Andhra coordinator for YSRCP, responded to Sharmila’s remarks upon assuming the role of AP Congress chief. Asserting that Sharmila’s comments were not unique, he emphasized that no external entity could jeopardize their party’s standing. He questioned Sharmila’s understanding of the state’s development, noting that it was her first visit, and suggested evaluating the progress of roads before making claims.
He highlighted the multifaceted nature of development, pointing out initiatives for the welfare of the poor and contrasting it with the alleged negligence during Chandrababu’s tenure. Subba Reddy detailed ongoing projects such as the construction of fishing harbors, major ports, and the initiation of an international airport. He invited discussion on these accomplishments but pointed out that Sharmila, having recently arrived from a neighboring state, couldn’t stand for elections in Andhra Pradesh.
