YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy Declares Neutral Stand on NDA, INDIA Bloc

Tuesday, December 24, 2024

Whereas earlier YSRCP had taken its allieship with the BJP-led NDA when they were at the helm, now this party has assumed a politically neutral stance following the completion of elections. This was largely due to the integration of its political opponents into NDA, specifically the TDP and Jana Sena Party. Believing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may favor these new allies over YSRCP, the party has decided to maintain its distance from both the NDA and INDIA alliances.

Amid rising political pressures from the recently established TDP government in the state, Jagan Mohan Reddy of YSRCP attended a sit-in protest in Delhi with members of the INDIA bloc. Still, the Congress party, the significant player in the alliance of INDIA, refrained from this event which compelled public statements from Jagan on the issue.

YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy recently clarified the official position of the party, stating that they would continue with an equal distance between NDA and INDIA. The party has no intention of joining the national coalition, he mentioned and added that it would keep a neutral approach. On the issue of “One Nation, One Election”, he said this was something that would come alongside the thoughts of his leader Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The state was always top of their mind when it came to its regional concerns. Vijayasai Reddy said: The development and welfare of Andhra Pradesh continue to remain at the top of YSRCP’s agenda. This clears up all speculations regarding a possible alliance with the Congress or entry into the INDIA bloc.
