YSR Congress Postpones Fee Protest To March 12

Wednesday, April 2, 2025

The YSR Congress Party’s much-anticipated “Fee Reimbursement Protest” has been postponed, with the new date set for March 12. Initially planned for February 5, the protest was delayed due to the ongoing MLC election code in multiple districts.

YSR Congress Party, led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, had sought permission from the Election Commission to proceed with the protest, but without receiving any response, the party decided to reschedule the event after the elections concluded.

The protest, which aims to demand the immediate release of ₹3,900 crore in fee reimbursements and outstanding hostel payments for students, will see YSR Congress activists submitting petitions to district collectors. This rescheduling ensures that the demonstration will take place after the election code period, which is crucial to avoid any conflicts with the electoral process.

As the new protest date approaches, YSR Congress Party remains committed to advocating for student welfare and pressing the government for the timely release of these essential funds.
