YS Sunitha Reddy, daughter of the late YS Vivekananda Reddy, has visited the Andhra Pradesh Assembly along with her husband, Narreddy Rajasekhar Reddy. According to sources, the couple had a meeting with officials at CMO in relation to scrutinizing progress made by investigation agencies on her father’s murder case. There is speculation that she also met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on her visit. This assembly meeting follows her recent interaction with the SP in Kadapa, showcasing her determined pursuit of justice.
According to sources, Sunitha urged the state government to take action regarding a letter sent by Dastagiri, an approver in the murder case, to the jail authorities. She also sought updates on the affidavit submitted by the state in the Supreme Court concerning her plea to cancel the anticipatory bail granted to Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy. Reports suggest that Sunitha had discussions with Home Minister Anitha before her meeting at the CMO, signaling her proactive efforts to ensure the investigation progresses.
The YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case continues to witness critical developments. The Supreme Court is currently hearing Sunitha’s petition to revoke Avinash Reddy’s bail, initially granted by the Telangana High Court. Simultaneously, a complaint filed by Vivekananda Reddy’s former personal assistant, Krishna Reddy, has added another layer of complexity. This complaint led to the filing of cases against Sunitha, her husband Rajasekhar Reddy, and CBI SP Ram Singh, with Krishna Reddy’s statement recently recorded by Kadapa police.
In a separate development, the Telangana High Court granted conditional bail to another accused in the case, Gajjala Umashankar Reddy (Accused No. 3). The court mandated that he appear before the Pulivendula Circle Inspector every Saturday as part of his bail conditions. Currently lodged in Chanchalguda Jail, Umashankar Reddy’s release was approved under strict terms.
