YS Sharmila Accuses CBI of Shielding Jagan, Avinash in Vivekananda Reddy Murder Case

Friday, December 5, 2025
Andhra Pradesh Congress chief YS Sharmila has made sensational allegations regarding the murder case of her uncle, former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy, sharply criticizing both former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She claimed that PM Modi treats Jagan as his foster son and is allegedly pressuring the CBI to protect Jagan and his brother Avinash Reddy.
Addressing the ongoing investigation, Sharmila questioned why the case has not been reopened, bluntly asking, “Why not?” She expressed frustration that years of struggle for justice have yielded no results and reaffirmed her support for Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter, Sunitha, in her pursuit of justice.
Sharmila also voiced strong dissatisfaction with the CBI’s handling of the case, stating, “The CBI has become a puppet in Modi’s hands. If it had conducted the investigation sincerely, the guilty would have already been punished.” She highlighted strong evidence, including Google Maps location data, confirming Avinash Reddy’s presence at the crime scene at the time of the murder. Despite this, she alleged, the investigation is being stalled to protect him, and she endorsed Sunitha’s claims about the flawed CBI probe.
