It seems that former chief minister and YCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy has fallen into self-defence at a time when the matter of property shares that arose with his sister and APCC chief YS Sharmila is raging not only in the YS family but across the state.
While Sharmila was suffocating with media conferences and press statements for four consecutive days, Jagan’s mother Vijayamma also joined saying injustice was done to Sharmila, Jagan is reportedly worried that this row may send negative signals to the party ranks in the state.
Presently on a visit to Pulivendula, he is said to be discussing with his family members and close relatives on how to get out of this row and particularly how to avoid its impact on people in his home constituency.
For the past five years he rarely went to the homes of his family members, except confining to Idupulapaya guest house or Pulivendula camp office. If anyone wants to meet him, they should come there. But, now he is visiting the homes of many family members.
According to sources close to him, Jagan is worried about where this controversy will lead and cause damage to the family and the party as the mother also issued a public statement saying that what he did was wrong. At Pulivendula he had a long discussion with MP Avinash Reddy, uncle Rabindranath Reddy and two other family members in his camp office.
It is known that a discussion was held on how to reach a compromise at a time when controversy was raging over Vijayamma’s letter. Not stopping at that, Jagan and Avinash Reddy went to the house of his uncle, YS Prakash Reddy, who is the younger brother of his father. It is known that he talked to him privately for about half an hour.
It is reported that he discussed with Prakash Reddy the issue of sending an embassy to Vijayamma regarding the property. Apart from his home, he also went to the homes of two close friends. Jagan Mohan Reddy organized a Prajadarbar at the camp office from noon to evening and received requests from the party leaders and activists who gathered in large numbers.
