YS Jagan Dismisses Tirumala Laddu Controversy as Baseless

Sunday, December 22, 2024
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding the famous Tirumala Laddu. He dismissed the allegations that animal fat was used in the ghee for preparing the laddus as a baseless rumor. Jagan clarified that the laddu-making process has remained the same for decades.
Jagan strongly criticized Chandrababu, accusing him of using even sacred religious matters for political gain. “Is it right to play with the sentiments of devotees?” Jagan questioned.
He explained that tenders for the ghee used in the laddus are called every six months, and samples were taken for testing during Chandrababu’s tenure as Chief Minister. Jagan pointed out that it was strange for Chandrababu to make these allegations now when the ghee samples were rejected on July 23rd.
“The process of purchasing ingredients for laddu-making is happening as it always has. No one has tampered with the quality-check methods for ghee,” Jagan stated. He questioned whether anyone could commit such a heinous act and criticized Chandrababu for spreading falsehoods.
Jagan also pointed out that ghee samples were sent to the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) on July 17th and rejected on July 23rd, asking why Chandrababu hadn’t addressed the issue earlier. He accused Chandrababu of spreading lies and tarnishing the sanctity of Tirumala.
Jagan announced his intention to write letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Justice of India regarding the matter, stating that this issue was being raised to divert public attention from the coalition government’s failure during its first 100 days in power.
