The ongoing murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy has reached a point where the CBI officials and the accused are battling in courts with continuous petitions. One of the main accused, YS Avinash Reddy has filed another petition challenging the CBI.
Ever since it was almost confirmed that the CBI would arrest YS Avinash Reddy and his father Bhaskar Reddy alleging them as the masterminds behind the entire murder case of Viveka, the accused are trying their best to get bail. Since their anticipatory bail was getting rejected, they started to point their fingers at CBI officers’ interrogation by declaring that their trials are not fair. After failing in a petition against CBI regarding the interrogation, Avinash Reddy freshly filed another petition by asking the High Court to give him a copy of Audio and Video recordings of the interrogation done on the 13th of March. Meanwhile his father Bhaskar Reddy also filed a new petition challenging Kadapa District Court’s judgment of allowing Viveka’s driver Dastagiri as an approver. Meanwhile the daughter of the demised, Sunita has also filed a counter against Bhaskar Reddy to allow Dastagiri as the approver as he can reveal necessary information about the murder case.
The High Court is looking forward to taking up all three petitions and having a common hearing at once to give a single judgment. Political experts opine that this judgment would also favor Sunita as the evidence against the accused is quite strong.
