TDP Politburo member and former finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu asked why both IT and ED are not responding when former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy himself admitted that he has given Rs 200 crore to his sister YS Sharmila during a 10 years period.
He wondered from where Jagan got this money?, he asked. Though Jagan’s illegal financial activities have been exposed for the last four to five days, he wondered why there is no movement in the governments, courts and investigation agencies? He demanded that quid pro quo cases should be brought to a conclusion by now.
Yanamala warned that the very existence of the Constitution is in a big danger after a financial criminal is on bail for 11 years and a financial terrorist cannot be bitten by the judicial system by filing as many as 136 discharge petitions and not proceeding with the investigation of cases against him, throwing a big challenges to the investigating agencies.
He made it clear that it is an insult to the Indian Penal Code itself. Stating that the YSR Congress Party is a half sunken boat and he advised that it is better for every one in the party to jump in before it sinks completely.
Yanamala is sure that if not today, then tomorrow, Jagan will be jailed. In addition to the old cases, he cautioned that many new cases are ready to swallow him. He warned that if anyone is with Jagan in these circumstances, it would be like suicide.
He said that Jaganmohan Reddy’s life is the latest example for the well-known proverb that there are `no murders in politics, but only suicides’. He said that by filing cases against his mother and sister in the NCLT, Jagan has completely sunk into the underworld. It is God’s will to take him out of it, all those holding Jagan’s hand are in the underworld.
He asserted that it is not a property dispute, but a political suicide. “He cheated his parents as a son. He cheated his sisters. He cheated party leaders and workers. He took power and cheated people of all walks of life”, he added. Moreover, the former finance minister alleged that Jagan had cheated his own uncle’s family to protect Avinash Reddy.
