Y.S. Sharmila Claims Jagan Behind Vijaya Sai Reddy’s Resignation

Sunday, January 26, 2025

PCC Chief Y.S. Sharmila has labeled the resignation of MP Vijaya Sai Reddy and his departure from politics as a major political turning point. Speaking in Vijayawada today, Sharmila addressed the surprising decision and made serious allegations, claiming that Y.S. Jagan was behind Reddy’s resignation. She also provided insights into the past dynamics of their relationship.

Sharmila accused Vijaya Sai Reddy of being a close ally of Jagan, who would carry out his orders without question. She claimed that Reddy even insulted people on Jagan’s behalf and spread lies, particularly about Jagan’s family, often repeating whatever Jagan told him. According to Sharmila, the resignation of such a loyal figure is far more impactful than it appears at first glance.

Sharmila urged YSRCP workers and supporters of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to consider the reasons behind Vijaya Sai Reddy’s departure, questioning why someone once seen as a trusted ally would leave the party. She raised concerns about why so many of Jagan’s closest associates were now distancing themselves and asked why those who had been with him for so long were now walking away. She implied that Jagan had lost his credibility as a leader, having betrayed both the public and his loyal supporters.

Sharmila also accused Jagan of aligning with the BJP, calling him a “foster son” of the party. She alleged that Jagan sent Vijaya Sai Reddy to the BJP as a protective measure for himself. Criticizing Jagan for sidelining Reddy for so long, she suggested that the resignation reflected Jagan’s eroding trust and leadership. Sharmila urged Reddy to come forward and tell the truth, acknowledging that many of his past statements had been false. She expressed satisfaction that the truth about the Viveka murder case was coming to light and encouraged Reddy to reveal more about other unresolved matters.
