A family in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh were in a state of shock after opening a parcel box delivered on Thursday night. The spine tingling incident came to light on Friday morning in Yendagandi village near Bhimavaram town. District Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Asmi rushed to the spot to inspect the body and find out other details.
As per reports, a woman named Sagi Naga Tulasi, who has been living with her parents in the YSR colony of Yendagandi village, had sought financial help from Kshatriya Sewa Samiti in Rajahmundry to assist her dream to complete house construction. The Samiti came forward and supplied her tiles and paints for her new house.
She again approached the Samiti for additional aid to complete the house construction. The Samiti reportedly agreed to supply electrical equipment to her. On Thursday night, she received a parcel purportedly containing the electrical equipment from the Samiti. She also got a WhatsApp message that the equipment will be delivered to her house through courier.
When Tulasi’s family opened the box on Friday morning, there were frightened to see a dead body of an unidentified person inside it. The family was terrified with the horrific condition of the body and immediately lodged a complaint in the nearby police station. A case has been registered and further investigation has been launched henceforth.
Panic gripped the village with the horrid tale and villagers made a beeline to her home. The police have immediately transferred the dead body to the government hospital for autopsy.
The person who delivered the box has reportedly been taken into custody for further enquiry. The Kshatriya Sewa Samiti has also been summoned by the police.
