Dr Sunitha Reddy, daughter of former minister Dr YS Vivekananda Reddy, who was brutally murdered in his own house in Pulivendula, just before 2019 polls, deplored that along with the people of the state family members were also fell into the trap of present chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on the murder.
“After my father’s murder, I believed you (Jagan) blindly and did as you said. I realized my mistake. It’s time to fix that,” she said. Sunitha appeared before the Telangana High Court during the hearing of the case filed by the Pulivendula police seeking dismissal of the case registered against her and her husband.
Speaking to the media she referred to the statements of Jagananna that God knows who killed Chinnanna (VIveka) and the people of Kadapa know. That means, she asserted that as a resident of that area, he also knows it. And why are the names of the murderers not revealed?, she asked.
“He may need not answer my questions as a brother, but as a chief minister it is his responsibility to answer”, she said and added that he should also answer why he is protecting the main accused in the case YS Avinash Reddy, the sitting MP and contesting again from Kadapa.
Dr Sunitha directly questioned Jagan whether he is afraid other things will also come out if Avinash Reddy is arrested? Expressing her happiness over her sister YS Sharmila is contesting from Kadapa as Congress candidate, she said that it was the cherished wish of her father Vivekananda Reddy.
She deplored that her father was brutally killed only for insisting on Sharmila’s candidature from Kadapa. “Both of our (Sunitha and Sharmila) goals are the same to defeat Avinash Reddy, the key accused in the murder case, in the Lok Sabha polls”, she asserted. If possible, she said that Jaganna should also be defeated for supporting the accused in the case.
Stating that now all the people in the state are aware who are killers of her father Vivekananda Reddy, she said that anyone can be fooled once, but can’t do it repeatedly. She cautioned that people are very smart and aware of the truth.
