Senior leader Vijaysai Reddy, who contested as the Nellore MP candidate, addressed the media following YSRCP’s defeat. “The people of Andhra Pradesh have given a decisive verdict in favor of the alliance. In a democracy, one must respect the people’s verdict as it is constitutional. We need to review the reasons behind YSRCP’s defeat. Where did we go wrong? How can we correct those mistakes? What actions of the YSRCP did the people disapprove of? We have discussed in detail why our efforts and welfare schemes did not gain the expected support. Our president will hold a review meeting with all constituency leaders to plan further actions,” he stated.
YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is also expected to address the media soon. YSRCP cadres are eagerly awaiting his comments on the defeat.
