Vijay Devarakonda exudes confidence on joining ‘200 Crores’ club

Tollywood heartthrob Vijay Devarakonda often hits the headlines for not beating the bush and making tall claims about his films. A section of moviegoers and industry people perceive his statements as hyperbolic and criticize him after the result of his films. But, that doesn’t seem to have changed his attitude as he grows in confidence with each film irrespective of the box office verdict of his previous outings.

Currently awaiting the release of his forthcoming romantic family entertainer ‘Family Star’, Vijay has once again recollected the ambitious box office goals he set in the past. It is well known that the Arjun Reddy actor asserted very confidently about scoring a huge blockbuster with his maiden pan-India film Liger during its promotions a couple of years ago. He said that Liger would emerge as a massive hit and would collect more than 200 Crores. However, the film ended as an embarrassing debacle and Vijay was trolled badly for his overconfidence.

During the pre-release event of Family Star in Hyderabad yesterday, Vijay once again recollected his words during the ‘Liger’ release and said that he will definitely deliver a blockbuster that would go on to collect 200 Crores at the box office. These statements are currently going viral all over social media.

Vijay said there is nothing wrong in making tall claims, but it is surely a failure on his part to miss the target. Vijay promised his fans that he would join the coveted 200 Crores club one day for sure in his career. He expressed confidence in Family Star and said that the film will turn out to be a big hit this Summer season.

Vijay thanked director Parasuram for giving a memorable character in Family Star. The film is slated for release on April 5th worldwide.
