Director Teja, who has a reputation to introduce new artists and technicians through his films, is launching another star kid in Tollywood with his upcoming romantic entertainer Ahimsa, which is slated for release this Friday. Ace producer Suresh Babu’s son and legendary producer Rama Naidu’s grandson Abhiram Daggubati is making his debut as a hero with this film.
Ahimsa is billed as a typical budding love story with Teja’s signature-style presentation. Despite being aggressively promoted, Ahimsa is carrying no buzz at all. The makers have been using all strategies to create some hype for the film. Victory Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati have also joined the promotional campaign to generate buzz for the film. Despite all this, there is hardly any anticipation for Ahimsa in the audience because of the poor planning.
The timing of the release is not ideal. Moreover, the promotional content also failed to pique the interest of moviegoers. Teja’s poor track record is another liability for the film. Ahimsa will now need strong word of mouth after its release to overcome the poor buzz and perform well at the ticket windows.
Ahimsa reunited Teja with RP Pattnaik after 18 years. The film stars Geetika, Rajat Befo, Sada, Ravi Kale, and Kamal Kamaraju.
