Venkaiah Naidu Slams Abusive MLAs Defeated In Recent Polls

Wednesday, November 13, 2024

Advising that leaders in public life should act soberly, former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu deplored that some leaders are losing their modesty by speaking indecently. However, he said that those MLAs notorious for their abusive language in the previous assembly were defeated by people in the state in recent elections.

Participating as chief guest in Karamchedu village of Bapatla district at the unveiling of Jagarlamudi Kuppuswamy Chaudhary statue, he made it clear that the only way he followed in politics was to continue in the same party.

He suggested that a politician should always know the hardships of the people and respond positively. The public leader should always be smiling and only then the activists and people who come to us can tell their problems.

But  he deplored that as an MLA and MP, instead of acting soberly in the legislative bodies they resorted to harsh and abusive language through indecent challenges against political opponents. But, he cautioned that people’s representatives should always be polite and advised that those who are ready for hard working only should enter politics.

He suggested setting up a museum with the life history of the prominent Telugu people in Amaravati, the capital of AP. He said that there is a need to tell the biographies of great persons to the present  generations.

Parents should encourage all children to spend time with their grandparents. Only then will they know our traditions and values. My mother was stabbed to death by a buffalo when I was young. I learned worldly knowledge from my grandmother and grandfather. I used to go to the farm with my grandfather. Children should be trained to know that agriculture is our culture and tradition,” he said.

Venkaiah Naidu said that former MLA Kuppuswami Chaudhary known for his selfless service and a man of generosity, humanity, good governance and of friendship.  Through his deeds, he reveals donating for education will be greater than feeding food. During the period when governments were not looking at the villages, he said that Chaudhary worked for development of villages.
