Indian films are making a lot of noise at the box office in North America. While Bollywood biggie Jawan is running successfully with solid footfalls in all territories after a record-breaking opening weekend, Tollywood romantic entertainer Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty extended its strong run into the second weekend.
Atlee directional Jawan screamed past the $ 11 million mark by the end of the second Saturday. After smashing numerous records in the opening weekend with more than $ 7 million gross, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer remained steady on weekdays with good hold in figures. Jawan is now the second-biggest grosser in his career. Also, he achieved a rare feat by scoring two films in the prestigious $ 10 million club in North America. His previous blockbuster Pathaan grossed $ 17 million there. Jawan is likely to emerge as the third biggest hit of all time among Indian films.
