Uproar over Tiruvuru MLA Kolikapudi Behaviour Reached TDP Headquarters

Wednesday, April 2, 2025

The controversy over Tiruvuru MLA Kolikapudi Srinivasa Rao, who issued an ultimatum to the TDP high command, has reached the TDP central office in Mangalagiri. Raising slogans against MLA Kolikapudi Srinivas, the Telugu Desam Party ranks of Tiruvuru gathered at the party office in large numbers on Saturday.

They shouted slogans like “Down, down, Kolikapudi, no more Kolikapudi in Tiruvuru”. Party state president Palla Srinivasa Rao, who reached there, gathered the workers. On this occasion, Palla met with the key leaders of Tiruvuru and made it clear that the party is supreme for everyone.

He warned that disciplinary action will be taken against anyone who violates the rules and guidelines set by the high command and crosses the line. He said that he will not hesitate to take action against anyone. Palla Srinivasa Rao assured that he would take the views of the activists to the attention of the party chief, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Lokesh.

The high command has seriously considered Kolikapudi’s ultimatum that he will resign from the party if action is not taken against former AMC chairman Ramesh Reddy within 48 hours.

The high command has ordered former minister and NTR district Telugu Desam Party president Nettem Raghuram, MP Keshineni Shivanath and party regional coordinator Mantena Satyanarayana Raju to submit a report on the incidents that have taken place in Tiruvuru for the last 10 months, the field conditions and Kolikapudi’s behavior.

It seems that the party has already taken a report through various channels on the affairs taking place in Tiruvuru, the views of the party workers, the allegations against Kolikapudi and his frequent involvement in controversies. Further action will be taken after the report of this three-member committee comes. Kolikapudi’s behavior has become controversial on several occasions in the past.

He has already appeared before the disciplinary committee at the party’s central office in Mangalagiri twice and given explanations. But party leaders are complaining that there has been no change in Kolikapudi’s behavior.
