Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma asked the railway officials to expedite the Railway Over Bridges (RoB) and Railway Under Bridges (RuB) in the state.
He conducted a review with the railway officials at the Divisional Office in Vijayawada and discussed ongoing Railway developmental works in the state. He also addressed challenges and steps to be taken for expedite completion of critical projects.
The meeting focused on the Kotipalli – Narsapur New Railway Line and its current status. Railway Officials briefed the Minister regarding the works and bridges construction already finished by Railways and the pending land acquisition to be carried out by the State Government in various stretches of Amalapuram – Narasapur areas.
The Minister also reviewed the various popular train demands and discussed the provision of Mail/Express trains stoppages in his constituency, provision of New Vande Bharat Express with the Railway OfficialsHe also took stock of the progress of Amrit Bharat Station works and important passenger amenities.
Srinivasa Varma stated that the Central Government is keen on Andhra Pradesh’s advancement promoting regional development and addressing specific state needs especially in the Railways sector. He exhorted the Railway Officials to work collectively and in coherence with the State Government in coordinated manner for translation into tangible outcomes, benefiting the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Railway Divisional Manager Narendra A. Patil and a team of Branch officers briefed the Minister on the various Railway developmental projects’ in Vijayawada Division jurisdiction through a PowerPoint presentation.
