Ugram trailer: Allari Naresh Shows his Rage in a raw setting

After dishing out a host of slapstick comedies since the beginning of his career, Allari Naresh changed his tack of late and started doing content-oriented subjects with characters that have strong scope to unleash the other side in his acting repertoire. Having bagged brownie points with his stupendous act in ‘Naandhi’, Naresh is once again back in a similar role in his upcoming film Ugram, a cop drama that sees him as a dutiful police officer who is on a mission to unearth the mystery behind numerous missing cases in his jurisdiction. Mirna Menon is the female lead.

The theatrical trailer of Ugram is out on Friday evening and it presents Naresh in an intense and fierce avatar. The two-minute trailer showcases Naresh in two get-ups – one as a cop and the other as an angry man. In the first half of the trailer, Naresh is on a serious witch-hunt to nab those who are behind the mysterious kidnapping menace. Unfortunately, his wife and child are also among those who are missing. He discovers a criminal gang that is orchestrating this crime but he is unable to bring them to book. Meanwhile, some mental issues render him ineffective to handle the case. But, his motto to end the criminal activity remains intact. He shows wrath and rage while facing his adversaries despite encountering many hurdles.

It is Naresh’s one-man show in the trailer. He seems to have delivered a power-packed performance yet again in a meaty role. Director Vijay Kanakamedala appears to have dealt with a serious social issue and penned an explosive character for Naresh. Yesteryear actress Indraja got a substantial role in this raw setting. The background score is thumping and effective and the dialogues are punchy.

In a nutshell, Ugram is going to be another hard-hitting crime drama with Naresh delivering an earnest performance as a cop on a mission. Shine Screens banner bankrolled the film. It is slated for release on May 5th
