Sunday, March 30, 2025

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has launched a considerate plan to make life simpler for cricket lovers this year’s IPL season. To provide fans a convenient means to travel to the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal, TSRTC will run 60 special buses from 24 depots in Greater Hyderabad. These buses will run only on match days, providing smooth and convenient transport to cricket fans and players alike.

For eight IPL matches at Uppal Stadium between March 27 and May 21, special bus services will be available. The matches will be on March 27, April 6, April 12, April 23, May 5, May 10, May 20, and May 21. The buses will also begin operation two hours before the match starts, making it hassle-free for fans to get to the stadium.

In order to address the spectators streaming in from various parts of the city, TSRTC has established point-to-point bus services originating from main spots, such as Bowenpally, LB Nagar, Koti, Ghatkesar, Hayathnagar, NGOs Colony, BHEL, Lakdikapul, Dilsukhnagar, Medchal, Kukatpally, Miyapur, JBS, Charminar, Chandrayangutta, and Mehdipatnam. By this service, parking trouble as well as excess traffic need not bother spectators and can totally engage their energies into savoring the action from cricket.

This project is a win-win for cricket fans and city commuters alike. In addressing the problems that affect them both, such as parking congestion and traffic bottlenecks, TSRTC is providing fans with a hassle-free, enjoyable ride while lessening the load on city roads. The launch of these special services is a welcome move in Hyderabad’s traffic handling during the cricket season, evidencing TSRTC’s dedication to delivering efficient and fan-friendly transportation solutions.
