As everyone in the Telugu Film Industry thought the day could not have gone any worse with the sudden death of veteran actress Jamuna, Tollywood witnessed the death of a top-tier dubbing artist Srinivas Murthy.
The most favorite dubbing artist who led the dubbing artists association for many years, A Srinivas Murthy fell dead at not-so-old age and left many in vain. Murthy became popular especially when he was dubbed for the Kannada hero Upendra for the movie ‘Raktha Kanneeru’ and his diction got instant recognition. He went on to dub some Telugu heroes like Suman, and Rajasekhar every now and then whenever Sai Kumar was busy and also won the prestigious Nandi Award for Sivayya. Since then there is no looking back as the top-rated artist worked for many Tamil heroes like Suriya, Ajith, Salman Khan, Vikram, Prabhu, Shah Rukh Khan, Mohan Lal, and many more villains like Sonu Sood, etc.
Murthy was also dubbed in Tamil and Kannada languages for Telugu dubbed movies and became popular over there as well. In his career, Srinivas Murthy was dubbed for more than 1000 films and many actors recommended him for their voices. It is indeed a huge loss for both Tollywood and the dubbing artist’s community with the demise of Srinivas Murthy.
