Telugu legendary film editor GG Krishna Rao who is known for his brilliant editing work in the Film Industry passed away on Tuesday. As per the sources, the 53-year-old has been suffering from age-related issues for some time and breathed his last on Tuesday.
Many celebrities who heard the news expressed their shock over the sudden demise of Krishna Rao. Many others paid last rites and offered their condolences to the editor’s family.
Reportedly, the veteran editor worked on more than 200 films in various languages including Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. He collaborated with some of the legendary filmmakers in the south like Bapu, K. Viswanath, Dasari Narayana Rao, Jandhyala and many others.
He also worked in numerous blockbuster films including Subhalekha, Mudda Mandaram, Nalugu Stambhalata, Sutradharulu, Seethamaalakshmi, Sruthilayalu, Sagara Sangamam, Swathimuthyam, Sagara Sangamam.
Krishna Rao was even honored with three Nandi Film Awards for his best work in Sagara Sangaam, Subhasankalpam and Saptapadi. His Hindi films include Jwaar Bhata, Milan, Mastana and others while Tamil films include Salangai Oli and Ezhumalaiyan Mahimai.
His last project was Bapu’s mythological drama Sri Rama Rajyam which starred Balakrishna, Nayanthara and Srikanth in key roles.
