Gone is the trend of releasing movies on Friday to have the maximum openings as the upcoming biggies of Telugu are having their releases exclusively on Thursdays. A look at the release dates of releasing biggies this year explains everything.
Kamal Haasan starrer Indian-2 will be the first biggie to release on Thursday, that is on 13th of June but they have the 17th as a holiday due to Bakrid but the daring move of Kalki 2898 AD releasing on the 27th of June being Thursday has no added holiday advantage. Next comes the most awaited sequel Pushpa-2 on Independence Day, and also a Thursday.
As these are not enough, Nani’s Saripoda Sanivaram also chose a Thursday that is on 29th August while NTR Jr’s Devara comes on 10th October, Thursday during the Dussehra time.
