Soon after former chief minister and BRS chief KCR attacked the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government bitterly at the party’s silver jubilee conference in Warangal, Telangana ministers lamented him for spreading poison against their government.
Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy lamented that throughout his speech, there was nothing but portraying the Congress as a villain. Speaking to the media along with Ministers Jupalli Krishna Rao, Seethakka and Ponnam Prabhakar, he accused that the rich state was in debt due to the previous CM’s administration.
He said that despite the debts, they are providing welfare to the people. Are you portraying Congress as a villain for giving Telangana?, he got angry. He cautioned that people had noticed how they looted the state by giving power to BRS twice and expected KCR to come to the assembly and give good advice.
Ponguleti deplored that the assembly was held for five or six terms after the Congress came to power, but KCR came only twice. He cursed that KCR did not even go to the secretariat when he was in power. He said that if KCR rules like a nobleman, our government will be accessible to the people in a democratic manner. He was angry that KCR had vomited poison because he could not tolerate the good governance that the Congress was providing to the people.
Ponguleti has strongly refuted KCR’s accusation that they had created obstacles for the BRS meeting. He asked, if they wanted to create troubles, would the meeting have taken place? He also took severe exception for alleging his government was selling university properties and asked that where did they actually sell university properties?
Ponguleti asserted that this government is fulfilling every promise it made. Moreover, he alleged that everyone knows how many scams took place during the Dharani brought by KCR. He questioned why KCR did not mention the ‘Dharani’? Why did this government not talk about the ration given to the poor?
