Telangana IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu accompanied Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to the recent Davos summit in which the state secured substantial investments and employment opportunities from several MNCs. During his visit, Sridhar Babu interacted with AP counterpart Nara Lokesh and also met CM Chandrababu Naidu to exchange some pleasantries.

While taking to the media on Tuesday, Sridhar Babu commended Chandrababu Naidu’s exemplary statesmanship and strong leadership qualities. He said Naidu’s delegation came to Davos with a broader perspective without simply trying to sign MOUs. He added Andhra Pradesh will see huge development under Naidu’s regime as the state has ample resources with huge untapped potential. The large coast line and having a sea port will be a big boon for industries and investments, he said.

Sridhar Babu praised CBN’s strategies in securing investments and predicted that Telangana will have a tough time to complete with Andhra Pradesh if he executes all his plans. He also recalled his discussion with Nara Lokesh about the rationale behind not signing MOUs in Davos. He stated that Lokesh revealed how they are signing MOUs by inviting delegates to AP.

Talking about Hyderabad, Sridhar said Naidu has no desire to disturb its development by diverting investments but wants it to see more growth in the coming years. He was also shocked with Naidu’s fitness levels at this age. He recollected how Naidu was fine wearing his formal costumes while all of them were unable to cope up with the cold weather in Davos.
